Welcome to Paleto Bay.
Whether you're a lifelong resident, a first-time visitor, or someone considering making our community your home, I'm glad you're here. Nestled between the forests of Mount Chiliad and the waters of the Pacific, Paleto Bay offers something increasingly rare; a place where life moves at a comfortable pace, where neighbors wave from their front porches, and where community still means something.
Paleto Bay is built on hard work, resilience, and tradition. Our town has deep roots in agriculture, fishing, forestry, and small business, but it's the people who truly define us. From local shop owners and ranchers to teachers, volunteer firefighters, deputies, and volunteers, everyone plays a role in making this community what it is. We believe that a handshake still matters, that helping your neighbor is simply the right thing to do, and that preserving our heritage is just as important as embracing the future.
As your Mayor, my vision is straightforward: protect the character of Paleto Bay while creating opportunities for responsible growth. We don't aspire to become another sprawling metropolis. Instead, we aim to become the best version of ourselves; a community where families can thrive, entrepreneurs can succeed, and visitors can experience authentic small-town hospitality without losing the charm that brought them here in the first place.
That means investing wisely in our infrastructure, supporting public safety, encouraging economic development, expanding recreational opportunities, and ensuring our local government remains transparent and accountable. Every decision should reflect the values of the people who live here and preserve the unique identity that makes Paleto Bay unlike anywhere else in San Andreas.
For those just discovering our town, I invite you to explore our parks and trails, support our local businesses, attend our community events, and experience the beauty that surrounds us. You may come for the scenery, but it's the people you'll remember.
For our residents, thank you for placing your trust in this administration. Together, we will continue building a community that honors its past while preparing confidently for tomorrow; a place where our children want to stay, our businesses want to invest, and our families are proud to call home.
The best days of Paleto Bay are not behind us, they're just beginning.
Buck Houndwood
Mayor, Town of Paleto Bay
To the people of Paleto Bay,
I pledge to lead with honesty, humility, and unwavering dedication to the community we all call home.
I will always place the interests of our residents above politics, personal gain, or outside influence. Every decision made by my office will be guided by one simple question: Is this what's best for Paleto Bay?
I pledge to protect the values that define our town; family, hard work, integrity, and respect for one another; while preparing for a future that creates opportunity without sacrificing our identity. We will grow thoughtfully, preserve our history, and ensure that the next generation inherits a town even stronger than the one we enjoy today.
I promise to be accessible and accountable. My door will remain open to every resident, business owner, veteran, student, and visitor who wishes to make our community better. Government should serve the people, not the other way around.
I will champion public safety by supporting the men and women who protect our neighborhoods, invest responsibly in our infrastructure and public services, and steward taxpayer dollars with the same care I would my own family's budget.
Most importantly, I pledge to never forget that being Mayor is not about holding an office; it's about earning trust every single day. Trust is built through action, not words, and I intend to earn yours through transparency, consistency, and service.
Together, we will preserve the spirit of Paleto Bay while building a future that our children and grandchildren will be proud to inherit.
With gratitude and determination,
Buck Houndwood
Mayor of Paleto Bay
